Hot compress then cold compress, always helps me.

My bad for the late reply, just got back from my afternoon bike ride.

I use the cold compress first for about 5 minutes, then the hot compress for about 5 minutes. Another alternative is icy hot rub but i dont like the feeling of it on my skin so my preferred method of relief is the compress.
