2012 VW Golf 2.5 Coolant Acidic

Hi guys! I recently took my golf 2.5 in for an oil change at a euro auto place, they told me I needed to replace my coolant due to it being acidic. I just replaced my coolant 7,000 miles ago (3 months ago) is this for real or are they trying to scam me? Thanks!

I've never heard that one before. I feel like if you just replaced it with the VW compatible coolant you should be fine.

PH is a common test for coolant to test for acidity. Here is an artlcle about coolant testing which talks about it.
