Passed Driver's Ed
Was screwing around today and decided to finally take some gangster pictures of my stock Golf. Got the ceramic wax on it yesterday, so it's looking pretty hot right now, I guess. It's completely stock right now, so not a very interesting post for a place like this.
Got it a few months ago for $4,500, with 168,000 miles. 1 owner, and they kept it immaculate. Almost no rust, which is rare near me, only the oil pan underneath had rust, but that has been taken care of. Full service history came with the car too, although the quality of the work done has been questionable. But it was a really good deal for what's in my area right now. I was actually looking at a MK5 for about $5k, so I'm glad I waited out a little bit longer. Had it since mid-March, and it's not spitting out any engine codes.
I was pretty jacked up to find this car, it was almost like it found me. My daily is dealing with a lot of rust underneath, and I I had pretty much given up on finding a second, or new car. I was beyond frustrated with what I found on the market near me, and I came across the listing for this and pretty much knew before I emailed the guy, that I was going to buy it. It's my first import, so there's some weird stuff that I've been learning as I go. I always liked the Golfs, and I am really liking the car so far.
I've done a bit of maintenance to the car so far, nothing too major except the brakes the other day. Did a bunch of paint correction on the roof and hood, it came out alright. The guy I bought it from said it will make it to 250k, so that's my goal.
