UNI stage 2 vs 2007 TL type-s with mods

Ran a friend of a friend the other night, thought i would shear this, he has a 2007 Acura TL Type-S 6-speed M/T he mods are AEM V2 CAI, XLR8 J-Pipe, UR Lightweight Crank Pulley, Custom Magnaflow Exhaust.

we did 3 pulls 1 from a dig the other 2 from a roll all i won  on the dig 0-70mph i pulled about 1 car by 70mph and he had me till about 30mph i had to much wheel spin  but on both roll runs i put 2 cars on him first roll was from a 55-100mph and the other was a 70-120mph its funny cuz he said he pulls GTI's all the time in his TL and was saying he should pull me by 2+ cars :lol:after the race he said my GTI was the fastest GTI he ever seen and i told him im only stage 2 if i would have had a ko4+ i would have put a train on him.

PS:and he has dynoed at 269.32whp/242.72wtq

Info on a stock 2007 TL-S
hp/tq are 286hp/256tq
0-60 5.7
1/4 14.3 @ 99.9mph

I had always the idea, those TL's were quick reaction but not fast, however i raced one of those too and proved me right, they are heavy for that engine..
However kill is a kill.

Two thumbs up for running a train. I've always wanted to do that

Sounds about right he had about 400-500lbs on your car and slightly more HP. The weight kept him back.

ya more more wheight and more hp but a lot less tq uni stage 2 is good for 341tq (crank)

boosted_r56 03-28-2012 04:55 PM

So a Uni stage 2 makes ~310WTQ? Interesting numbers.

I know R56 JCWs make about 250WHP/310WHP which i am guessing is similar to the uni stage 2.

I didnt know they made that kind of TQ at the wheels on the mk6s. Very nice.

That's a 93 gas... 91 should be 315ish. Not sure if crank or wheel though... they listed it right under the stock "crank" figures.

315 crank is roughly like ~280WTQ which isnt bad
