City lights error

So i recently changed the city lights to LED's and I keep getting an error saying that both of them are out. They both work I was just wondering if there was a way to remove the error via VAG-COM, I can live with the error light but would rather not have it on.

I believe you have to change your central electric to ROW or rest of world, as your ECU is detecting the LED's low power draw as an outage.

Is that the option where you change the country? if so would that not also change the rest of the metrics (Gallons,Distance, etc.)

You'd need to use Vagcom, and no, it should change the units of measurement. I have LEDs installed in the OEM bi-xenon housings and I switched it over. Also needed to be done for my LED tails too.

You should be able to just code your sidemarkers/city lights for LED's via Vag-com. I had it done on mine and it remove the bulb out error.

ya just have them code out the city lights. I use regular leds without resistors for city lights an I have zero codes because I had the coding from vagcom

Yes, that would be great, we have some great city LEDs that cause errors for the halogen models (but we have error free for the non-halogen- bi-xenon headlights)

Nice - is this for cars with halogens? We have ones for xenon that are error free:

We can get a set up for the MK6 with halogens if people want to code.

It works for both-halogens and bi-xenons.

My fault, the wording was not right, I was referring to this thread and OP, was it about bi-xenon or halogen?
