Emergency Brake Feature with LED tails

I don't know if anyone remembers but a while back I did a video of what the "emergency brake feature via tail lights" looks like. Now after putting in OEM LED tails I did another video. I think that with the LEDs it blinks at a faster pace but its hard to tell. Anyways here's the video:

interesting. Is there a specific speed or drastic braking "point" that triggers that?

i can never get my car to slow down/stop like that lol my foot would be all the way down on the brake and i'd still be going ...

It should be under central electronics, they have it in the VAG-COM coding tweaks on vortex, but for some reason ross tech says that its via flashers when there are two options: Emergency brake warning via flashers and emergency brake warning via tail lights. I have tail lights selected, and it flashes the tailights then turns on the hazards after you've come to a complete stop and keeps them on until you start moving again.

That's really cool. I wish there were some way to activate it other than a super hard braking maneuver. It would be great for a tailgate party. :thumbsup:

eh i forgot which i activated tails or flashers, and personally its kinda dumb bc since it aint standard in america, and drivers (here in Virginia/maryland/DC) suck ass and are taught like shit, they probably would freak if they saw flashing taillights.....and run into you anyway....

have yet to use it so its more i did it bc i could haha

I noticed it was turned on from the factory on mine just did not know what it was exactly.
Thanks for posting the videos to show what it does, much apreciated.

It looks much faster with the LEDs

Yes the functioning of the emergency via tails is as follows: after ABS engages the tail lights flash, after you come to a stop the hazards turn on automatically. Then they turn off once you start moving again. There is another entry for emergency brake function via hazards but I've never coded it so I dont know what it looks like.
