jesus... one of those red plugged fittings is under the wastegate rod, under the manifold... looks like it will be a real beast to get to and work with.

This is the one i was talking about. It seemed impossible to reach while on the car. Luckily, you attach this one with it off the car. Now it all makes sense.

[*] Install Coolant Return Line. Don’t forget to use new ashers on either side of the banjo bolt. (Short M12 XZN + 1/2” Combination Wrench) Tighten the bolt well.

This step (number 38) might be expanded to say this is the step in which you use the thicker copper washer. And it touches the turbo itself and the banjo fitting. Not the other side of the banjo fitting further from the turbo.

Thats my PDF study done for today.

what was confusing me as i just looked at it.. the plate with all the red plugs in it. that has 4 connection points. then i have one or 2 other tube type fittings i saw also. i figured i would have 4 ports: coolant in/out and oil in/out. maybe one of the extra ones is a vacuum? Oh ya, that hose looking fitting thing outside of that block must be vacuum, i remember a short hose you disconnect from it now..

another task im worried about, removing my stock rear intake pipe. so many people break that clip trying to get it off the tube. Maybe i should just do that part now, to know if its gonna break or not. then i can just have a new tube here by the install time if needed. and if it doesnt break, it will be loose and ready for the work.

success. no damage.

Would anyone like me to detail any portion of this install. I can take pictures tonight and draw some better graphs :D

I've gotten 3 PMs within the last week about it.

I removed the battery, I guess I don't see why we have to remove it.
Half way through install. Just wondering that's all.

I had to take the battery out for the IC install......no idea why I put it in the K04 install....but it certainly gave me ALOT more working room.

Another question....is the coolant available at AutoZone, Napa...etc...
Im thinking not..right.

Yup. My Autozone sells G12 but I got mine from ECS
