White gauges? Should have stayed with the blue.

I prefer the white of the R32 and scirocco etc to the blue of my GTI. Each to there own but they are easier to read and less in my face.

I wish the R-GTI would be even anywere near $30K in my country im so sick of us here getting ripped off it will be nearer twice that over the pond. They are even putting the mk6 GTI up in price way above the competition and the previous model, then restricting dealer margins prob ~3% and saying to not discount as they will also restrict supply to them, they are just taking the p1ss really.

Agreed... looking forward to seeing the red and black colors... I heard that VW is changing all VW models eventually to white gauges and doing away with the blue. Same for the Audi (Red) and Seat (green) going to white.

Looks really nice! If the AWD R can stay under $30k I think I'm sold.

under 30K? I'll even line up for 10 hours for one then.

but i was looking for some major changes in the interior, seems like they didn't bother...
and x2 on the white gauges

but the red trim is quite nice :)

SEAT green:confused: when did that happen? Every SEAT i have owned has had sharp red lighting were as audis had less sharp pailer red. Older VWs of the 1990s and earlier had green.

Audi should stay red. I find the red really clear to read, IMO, and less distracting at night.

I'm talking US bucks under 30k for the awd(which will be how much faster with the added hp and added weight?), if not the front drive with the new limited slip should do just fine in the N east Pa winters. The interior still looks better than the other cars I'm shopping.. Mitsu Lancer ralliart, Subaru WRX, legacy gt limited -- this might be a toss up but the price will determine.

You know, I really hope DRLs could actually be shut off this time. I know some like it but I just can't stand it... And I don't want to pay no 250 bucks for a VAG com.

The Car looks great but I think what we are looking at is for the Euro Market only. I think the US and every other "New" third world location will get a very stripped down version of the MK VI. The Profit margin is almost nil as it is with the current MK V, and this MK VI is updated and upgraded.

Unless VW can start production of MK VI with ensured good quality control in Mexico, I really don't see many VW share holders supporting the little profits out of the US. But I hope I am completely wrong so I can get a MK VI when my MK V lease is up in 15 months.
