MR Cardesign tunes the VW Golf GTI MK6

MR Cardesign is the latest German tuning house to modify the 6th generation Golf GTI.

At the heart of the MR Cardesign GTI is an upgraded engine kit that includes an ECU upgrade which increases the power output from 210HP and 280Nm of torque to a 260HP and 380Nm. The additional 50HP and 100Nm drops the GTI's 0-100km/h (62mph) launch time from 6.9 seconds to 5.8 seconds. At the same time, the GTI's top speed limiter is increased from 240km/h to 263km/h or 164mph.

In addition to the engine upgrades, a KW sport suspension kit lowers the GTI by 50mm up front and by 40mm at the back. A Sportech brake kit and 19" alloy wheels wrapped in Vredestein tires size 225/35 R19 are also fitted to the car.
