What did you drive before GTI?

2001 Subaru Forester. great car. Never had any mechanical problems with it. very cheap to own and quite a bit of fun.

Coming from that I can only hope that my GTI (which is a 2011 and hasn't arrived yet) serves me as well. I am not one to enjoy going to mechanics. I like a car that is reliable and there when you need it. I have a life beyond my car.

But I decided I needed a little bit of spice as well. Just hope there isn't the associated heartburn.

89 corolla. It was a great car actually, very cheap to run. I kept saying I'd buy a new car when that one dies, but it never would, so when I needed to replace the brakes I traded it in for my GTI.

My Car Just before my Mk6 GTI..was a 2008 5 speed Rabbit...and I loved that car...But the GTI won me on the first mile of the Test Drive..as soon as I hit 6th gear..and said..this is what the Rabbit was missing....lol

My first car, a -73 1303S, I still have. Parked in the garage and getting an new engine.
So I passed one Golf GL -91, a Scirocco -84, another beetle, a -72 1302.
In march 2008 I got my first new car, a Volvo V50 D5 with the works. Only thing that was missing from that car was the navi.
Sold it last summer, bought a 2000 Golf IV 2.0, which I still have. And got my 2010 GTI in the beginning of march this year.
Planning to sell the IV, or trade it. But I need a bigger daily driver. And that is going to be an Allroad I think. The first one, 2000-2004..

traded in my MKIV GTI anniversary edition to get my su new GTI... great car!





and before that I had a 95 thunderbird supercoupe....GAWD damn i miss that car. Can't find any pics anywhere:mad0259:. Eventually I will pick another one up as a project car in the future.

The Volvo was my first car and I did not know how great of a car it was...until it was gone. I really took it for granted.
