yea it was the LEDs in the fog grills and the one underneath the shroud. im not too sure either anymore

AH! I didn't know they changed in 2012! Mine is a Jan 2012 model, built Nov 2011.

Led's on the bumper are DRL's. the LED's in the headlights are city lights. As long as headlights are on, those led's will be on.

The small light underneath the shrouds is not used, no bulb in it. The DRL is the LED in the lower grill.

In my oem set the light underneath was coded as DRL.
They also use the Golf R bixenons on tdi's and some newer Gti's.
My set came off a golf R. Had a bulb in the light underneath the shroud.

It just depends on how you code it really.

Interesting both my oem golf R us spec/ and OEM Euro Spec (ROW) ones do not have a bulb in it.

Well taking a chance....he's going to wire up the halos to replace the city lights. Really crossing fingers for no buld error light.

No he's been busy. I told him to take other clients since I'm still waiting on other parts for the retrofit like the wire harness, bulbs and ballasts.

Last pics were when he opened them up for me.
