DSG Clutch question

i notice that after driving the car hard when i park on my drive way and get out i smell the clutch a little bit...

is this normal of the dsg tranny?

ah, i don't know what that smells like but i havent had any smells coming from the car yet except the new car smell-then again I havent really driven it hard yet....

You're probably smelling the brakes...not the clutch

you kno i didnt even think of that!
your prob right now that i think of it.

i didnt think it would be possible to burn the clutches that easy haha

MK6 GTI - let me know how that awe exhaust is when you get it installed i need to decide between that one and the apr... not sure which to get

The DSG is a wet clutch submerged in oil, unless you were burning oil in it which i doubt i dont think the DSG could really smell. maybe Im wrong though. Ive driven my DSG mk6 pretty hard without much except the smell of burnt rubber and some new brakes.

thanks guys i tested the theory today... stuck my nose in there and took a whiff after driving home spiritedly and it is definitely the brakes i was smelling...
