Hello,

Sooo... Car is mk6 gti (ko4 with full bolt ons), made 350 hp and 500NM (~365lbs) and after 30 000 km. (~18000miles) the clutch started to slip.
I'm using this car as a daily, no granny driving style (few track days), how much miles is normal to burn this clutch down ? Any experience ?

You're slipping on your built RSR clutch? Did you replace the DMFW when installing new clutch components? I think I am slipping in the higher RPMS, also K04 full bolt ons. Its been about 30K miles since clutch install.

Looks like I need new DMFW and new clutch disk...

***Accidentally posted in the general clutch discussion thread versus this one, but feel as though this should still be here.

Coming back to this thread to report that I am slipping with my built RSR clutch in the higher RPMs of 3rd, 4th, and 5th gear. I don't feel like it is no where near as bad as my stock clutch on stage 2 uni slipping, but its enough to notice in data logs. Its been about 30K miles since install, but I did at the time opt to not replace the DMFW. That would mean this DMFW has 96K miles on it. Honestly, I didn't think the car would make it to where it is today or that I would be pro-tuning for more power, but I am now. Would it be safe to assume that perhaps that DMFW is the weak link and that it may need replacing? Plenty of people have handled Stage 3 power with an RSR so I think if parts weren't old/failing that I should be fine with K04 + Meth. Any input or suggestions?

I noticed HS Tuning is offering another clutch kit with a hybrid clutch disk. Anybody by chance given that kit a try?

I have seen written that the diy kit does not have every part the hs tuning uses, which is what makes it the secret sauce. Idk how true this is but something that caught my eye.

Read most of this thread. All I can say is "thanks guys" for the wealth of knowledge here. I ordered everything today. The best price I could get was $783.80 and that's for everything including a new DMFW.
