Figured it out. The coding was right. After searching all over I found one post from someone who has the same set up I do and he had the Black28 and brown and Tan27 switched and only the left LED was working. The DIY I followed to wire the rear fog said to leave Tan27 unplugged because it isn't needed after swapping in Black28 but after going back and plugging Tan27 into Black28 it worked. So the right LED DRL is powered by Tan27 or its connected to it somehow. So everything works as it should. Thank you for the help you have given. Learned a lot from this thread.

Sorry for bringing this post back from the dead but I just got a Vagcom cable and first thing i did was auto scan the car.

I almost shit my self while the program scanned my car. I hear this electrical noise and i'm thinking the car better not burn on me anyway so after the code scans and everything is done i got some errors. After poking around i found out that each time i go to Navigation and hit scan errors it gives me the same weird electrical noise that comes from under the steering wheel. near the cable and all the cables actually.

So should i check to see if one of the Navigation wires is not connected right?
btw i got my car used and everything inside is from factory, no warranty.

First engine code is probably because of my forge bov adapter that's leaking boost. just swapped it with DV+ so i'll clear that one out later.

Ok, the noises are normal, it's the system cycling, powering, repeating, etc. It's generally the Airbag and Steering systems that do this.

The first fault in the Navigation is for the satellite tuner (if it's not activated it shows as a fault), the second one does show as a short. Does your GPS work? Any issues?

The light switch fault, does this have a euro switch by chance? I got that error constantly on mine after installing a Euro Switch.

The engine one, if you check that code at ross-tech, it states it just is a reference to the actual fault, in this case the steering wheel module. Most likely this is due to the light switch fault.


So other than maybe a loose connector to the GPS antenna, doesn't look like any real issues there.

I cleared the engine codes, and the light switch.
Yes I do have the euro switch, just took it off and cleared the code. If it's normal i'll put it back on.

The weird scary noise happens when i go to fault errors in Navigation, it also happens when i code the navigation. It is scary as hell btw.

I think it might be a loose wire or something, but it's working fine for me, never had any issues with it.

I will be updating the RNS510 to version 4120 today. Hopefully it will be easy.

Does anyone know the coding for bulb out error for a 2014 gti with installed LED fogs using Vag-Com? I read a couple of forums about the tail light coding, but don't know if it will work with LED fogs.

then click on "READ INFO TEXT FILE" and select the file eng-mk60ec1.xpl
