Mk6 Ko4 vs Mk7 IS38 (Comparison)

I know it's not necessarily a "vs" but I'm comparing my is38 GTI to my previous mk6 ko4 GTI and holy smokes there is a huge difference up top. The video is just before the kickdown switch, so pedal is not 100% all the way to the ground and I don't let the shifts go much into redline...This video was when I was still breaking in the car. (I installed IE rods/pistons for my mk7) These is38 turbos pull strong for an OEM turbo. For comparison I have an old video of my mk6 ko4 doing a 60-145mph pull.
Mk7 80-140mph ~13-14 seconds
Mk6 80-140mph ~19-20 seconds

Awesome, looking forward to it. I have a K04 MK6 and my dad has a stage 1 MK7. I'm always impressed by how much power the newer gen can make.

I was sad to sell my mk6 GTI, but when I bought my mk7 GTI I was very surprised to see how it responded to even just the stage 1 tune. The is20 turbo was definitely a big improvement over the ko3. I still miss the ko4, still think it had a very strong mid range, the is38 to me doesn't feel like it responds quite as fast as my ko4 did but it makes up for it with a little more top end. I will have a video up of my is38 vs a 414whp Caliber srt4 and a 420whp Mustang 5.0 Soon!
