ugh... i really hate this car, not yours in particular, just cr-z's in general.

wheels are a good attempt, but nothing, NOTHING is gonna make this thing look good

I really tried to like this car.. but I can't. Makes about the same power as my LS Integra, weighs more, only gets about 8 better mpg. Hybrid complexity, too far ahead of its time as far as looks in and out, no, just no.

What you've done looks good though!

The CR-Z obviously is the "Love it" or "Hate it" thing .. just like the E36 M Coupe when it first came it ... it's ugly as hell to me when I first saw it .. but now I think it's really sexy.

The CR-Z is not to be judge with a sensible mine like how much hp it got or how great the handling is (actually the handling is really very sharp and good). It's more for those mid 30s people like me who have this emotional passion with the old CRX and wants to see if this is anything like my old time hero.

The look is very retro and HYBRID is the trend now ....

F599 and 997 MKII GT3 RS all with HYBRID! It's what we'll see in the next 10-20 yrs for sure.

The CRX was great because it was simple, light, and had a great power/weight ratio.

The CR-Z is none of those things, and it makes me sad :( CR-Z type R (if it ever comes) could be promising, but I'm not holding my breath.

I don't mind the looks, actually - I think it's pretty sharp- although the dash looks like it needs an epilepsy warning!

Wan888, are these really your cars? If so, awesomeness! It seemed like you were in the import/export business...

Anyway, that's a nicely done CR-Z. It's simply clean. Can you take pics of it next to your MKVI? I'd like to compare sizes...

CRX was Honda's GTI back in the day

now not quite so much

If this is supposed to be a "sports-hybrid" then it should make more power than it does, which is the same as the base civic (140hp)

Based on that website the CR-Z maintains the same power/weight ratio as the CRX had

Here's what I calculated from the website (percentages are compared to CR-X):

CR-X (MT) 99.50 hp/ton 0.00% 92.17 lb-ft/ton 0.00%
CR-Z (MT) 91.32 hp/ton -8.22% 95.69 lb-ft/ton +3.82%
CR-Z (AT) 89.67 hp/ton -9.87% 90.49 lb-ft/ton -1.82%

Better power/weight ratio by 8-9% with the CR-X. Torque/weight is maintained between both models. Then again its just a spec., quarter-mile times and track times are what matters. I think it would cool it Motortrend or some other magazine did a comparison between the CR-X and CR-Z.

lol @ quarter mile and track times for a hybrid vehicle

Some serious performance cars could be made from a gasoline engine/electric motor combo if done right.

Just think...

Electric motor for instant low-end torque, and vtec for top-end power.

Nice try Honda, but I can't wait til you forget about 40 mpg and make a real sports car of the future.
