CCTA OR CBFA

Your car is probabley CBFA, but check the link posted by siagolf.

The CARB infection has already spread past California as most of the NorthEast USA staes adopted it a lil while back. CT, ME, MA, NH, NJ, NY, RI and VT all have the CBFA engines. I think PA is in the mix too as there are a total 13 USA states in the mix.

I see Quebec Canada joining soon too which will probably drap BC Canada along in.

Look at the sticker under the hood, on the trim covering the radiator. If your car is certified to CARB requirements, it's CBFA (PZEV, 50 state legal). If not, then it's CCTA (LEV, 48 state legal).

Add Maryland to the list of Communist states. May not be mandated, but many CARB-compliant vehicles sold here.

easy fix...

Sorry to bring up this old thread. I was beginning to install the COBB Accessport and it said that my 2013 car was a CCTA. But I live in MA, purchased the car brand new, and even the window sticker on the car says it was shipped to the same MA dealer that I bought the car from (thus, no possibility that the car was originally shipped to a non CA emission state and then shipped to MA). So I would assume that I would be CBFA. I DO NOT have that extra thingy near the air filter in the pic above. This is what I have below. Also, I have the California sticker as shown in the pic as well.

CBFA cars have three O2 sensors. Is there anyway for me to see the 3rd sensor from the top of the car?

I don't know if you're able to see the 3rd sensor from the top. It seems your car is undoubtedly CCTA. ULEV=CCTA. PZEV=CBFA.
