I'm going to Europe in the fall of this year and noticed that BMW, Audi, Porsche, etc. offer a European Delivery (ED) option for their cars. It seems like a great way to purchase as BMW/AUDI/Volvo all offer 5-10% off the price of the car on top of what ever deal you negotiate with the dealer. Some offer free round trip airfare to Germany, and all offer free delivery to the US.
I think it would be great to pick up a Mk7 GTI and drive it on the AutoBahn, and on the ring. That is if it goes on sale in Europe after the unveiling in September.
My question is that VW doesn't seem to offer an ED option is that correct? Is Audi the only VAG member that offers European delivery? As much as I like VW I'd perfer a 328i if I was going the Luxury car route vs an A4. But I'd really like a new GTI.
Anyone done this?
