APR's RSC™ Technology is now available for the MK6 Golf R in our newest 2.0T RSC™ 3" Performance Exhaust System. RSC™ or Reflective Sound Cancellation allows for maximum exhaust gas flow while completely eliminating unwanted in cabin sound resonance known as "drone". RSC™ incorporates innovative technologies developed in conjunction with NASA. With limited use of packing materials and no baffles, RSC™ allows for a completely straight and free flowing exhaust path throughout the RSC™ mufflers. Reflective Cancellation bounces the undesirable sound waves into each other to attenuate the wave and completely eliminate the low frequency tones that create drone. Each RSC™ muffler is tuned to eliminate specific, undesirable sound frequencies allowing only the engine's true and desirable exhaust not to be heard and improving performance.

APR's design specifications and manufacturing requirements result in a 3" mandrel bend stainless steel performance exhaust system with minimal bends unmatched by any other. RSC™ technology ensures the maximum possible performance increases from any performance exhaust system while maintaining refined and unobtrusive sound inside the cabin.

Exhaust System Features

APR's Golf R RSC™ Performance Exhaust System features the same great designs from APR's Engineering Team and high quality manufacturing incorporating the following:
  • High Flow Straight Through 3" Unrestricted Design
  • High Precision CNC Mig Welding
  • High Precision Jewelry Grade Tig Welding
  • Low Carbon Stainless Steel Construction
  • 200 Cell Metal Matrix Catalyst
  • Resonated AWD Downpipe
  • High Strength Torca Exhaust Clamps
  • Interchangeable Polished Stainless Steel or Diamond Black Tips
  • Double Walled and Rolled Tips Laser Etched with APR Logo
  • Lifetime Warranty

No cutting or modifications are required to install this system in any form. The Turboback System replaces the entire exhaust. The Catback System replaces the exhaust system after the factory catalytic converter pipe, includes a 3" reducer to connect the factory exhaust without any cutting and remains emission compliant. The Downpipe replaces the factory catalytic converter system and includes a reducer to connect to the rear factory mufflers without any cutting. Please click on the system overview buttons to illustrate each configuration.

Power Gains

Power gains were measured in identical testing conditions using APR's in house dynamometer. The factory exhaust was tested against the APR RSC Turboback Exhaust in various software and hardware configurations. The average maximum gains were rounded down to the nearest 5 HP and are listed below. APR recorded gains between 10 and 25 HP in various configurations proving the exhaust's 3" straight through free flowing design increases power over the stock exhaust system.

Arin, why APR is using VWR Intake and not Carbonio in the test above?

Nice Exhaust System, does it still have a popping sound with DSG?

Carbonio does not have a full intake system for the Golf R that replaces the factory engine cover. The one they currently have will retain the factory engine cover (which many people want) but will increase power as much as a full system like the VWR.
