Rings pop off like any other glued emblem. Then fill the area with something like bondo and sand it even and smooth. Apply paint and voila

Might be dumb question, but the gloss black parts pop off for easier paint job right?

Yes it does. Mine was completely shaved and smoothed out. It's not cheap thing to do if you want it done right.
