You know, one thing I never liked about the Mk5s and the A3 is the lack of a dual exhaust. Some people hate it on the Mk6, I personally think it looks more the part of the car without being too much.

I wonder if someone makes a dual exit rear valance for the A3?

Edit: Gunkata, you need some red calipers, broheim!

I am sure they do, but I wont be doing that (dual exhaust)

red - no no, definitely not. My BBK is black, so the rears will be painted black.

The guy that asked you to convert your exhaust to dual...
The way it sits now is a single exhaust the way its supposed to be on an I4 car.

Having 2 pipes out back is just for looks and posing on this car. Arguably it is more of a Form>Function.

What brakes does the A3 have? Same as GTI? After driving a C250, an Audi 2.0T Sline and a BMW 328i back to back and then driving my TDI back home I was almost in tears... the brakes on this car are pathetic.

I wonder if converting to the stock audi brakes is a simple swap.

gotcha, and agreed. The audi brakes are the same as the GTI, AFAIK. I did confirm that the stoptechs are a direct swap, so it appears to be the same kits across the board.

Because of you, I have now started looking at A3 quattro's in the area. I wanted one before the GTI, got the GTI for various reasons, and now wish I woulda gone A3.

What kind of real world mileage are you getting? I know what the EPA says, but real world is always different. Plus, I can use what you say as leverage to convince the wife! She hates my constant car discussions. This forum has both helped keep me quiet and made me more vocal!!
