I had trouble with my drivers side sukanas headlight fogging up. I contacted him and he promptly issued me a refund with little hassle. He even paid to ship them back. I don't get that kind of customer service from reputable retail stores, let alone an individual. He's a pretty stand-up guy and that seems awfully strange for him to act the way you're saying he did.
