Lol I don't know why you always feel the need to reply to everything I comment on.

I was recently hit by a distracted driver that ran a red light. I don't know how fast she was going but it was for sure more than 50 because she completely broke every single thing on the front of my car including my trans and engine mount. There was literally a hole in my dsg and I can see the guts of the dsg. My front crash bar was bent broken and completely bent toward the right side of the car. The motor is barley hanging in the engine bay and probably has some damage on it that I couldn't see when I was going to pick up my stuff. If she had hit me on my driver door instead of my fender I don't know for sure if I would be online to post this right now. If she had been street racing and doing over 100, again I probably wouldn't be here. I know first hand that even 60 mph can kill you but, to answer your question yes I can say with 100% certainty that most modern cars can take a 60-80 mph collision pretty well and the roll cage inside of your car will not break and impale your passenger.

This includes kids, toddlers and babies too?

Give him a break guys, yeah the kid is being a little stupid but it looked like they were in a pretty secluded area with no cars. The stupidest thing is probably filming this, you can get in trouble with local authorities not to mention you are focused on filming and have your hands off the wheel. Get a mount for your camera so you don't have to worry about it if you're going to film.

I think they are worried because of your age and lack of experience driving. So you're going to catch a bunch of shit for videos like this going forward.

Go register with some autocross schools and really learn how to drive, you'll thank yourself later.

Welcome to motorsports.

If you're being reckless on public streets and boasting about it. Yeah. I'll be commenting. I don't get you people. Go do drugs or something. Stop putting other people's lives at risk. Do things that risk your own life. Go jump out of an airplane. Go climb a tall building. Take it to the drag strip and post all the kill stories you like.

Cant jump out of an airplane, might land on another person and kill them.

Cant climb a tall building, might pull a brick out and it may fall and hit someone and kill them.

Lol what does that have to do with anything I was saying? Look, someone said you can die doing 80 mph give the kid a break and I said yeah except doing 80 probably wont break the roll cage you have in your car and impale your girlfriend. I have a 3mm disc bulge in my lower back from my accident so I can only imagine how a child, senior or not so healthy adult would take a 60 mph collision. I am not arguing that a car crash can't kill. I was trying to say there is a difference between being in a little bit of a rush and doing 80 mph and completely being careless of everyone and everything by street racing. Also, My op said 80 mph wont break your roll cage and kill your passenger and I still stand by that statement unless your stupid and bought a death trap made of cheap thin steel which might have been the case in that accident involving the R.

Nice runs. These cars seem to like an ethanol blend in the stock K03.

Yeah man the car pulls hard with the cool air at night, only battle is to keep the IAT's down. Been watching your videos for quite some time, that's what got me to get an e85 tune.

I had the passenger filming, Yeah I need to schedule a track event but in Southern California it's expensive as hell with all the wealthier peps with faster cars.

Now I remember why I stopped coming on here for a while. It's full of a bunch of disgruntled old men willing to complain about anything and everything. I'm about to be 21 (millennial) and I'll tell you, believe it or not, we're not all absolute retards. You can race on the street, but there's a correct time and place for it. 2am on an expressway might be an appropriate time. Minimal traffic. Going past 115mph also not super smart and neither is a consistent travel at that speed. Reach it and then slow down.

I NEVER race people even though my car is stage 2 because I think it's a bad idea. I do pulls on the highway but only if there's very few cars around or if I have an open stretch of road.

Oh but I forgot! My car is way lower than stock and I have Nankang tires and more camber than is recommended! I'm a danger to EVERYONE! Smh

The people who are expressing the safety concerns aren't wrong, they're just doing it in the typical "internet tough guy" way that's completely not effective at convincing people to change their ways.

Putting myself back in my early to mid 20's with a fast vehicle.... if you talk to me like that you're just getting ignored. Maybe the angry people in here were more receptive to being talked to like that, but I wasn't.

Want to make an actual difference? Teach people how to evaluate and mitigate risk. Show people how to enjoy their vehicles in a way that minimizes, or eliminates risk to others.

@WeekendWarriorz I just want to know why you young guys don't drag race like men? these fwy pulls are fucking lame, when I was racing cars in high school we did proper drag races.

Haha I don't drag race because stage 2 in a FWD with shitty all seasons just spins.. I'm not fortunate enough to have my parents buy me $600 tires hence my cheap stage 2 parts.. (raceland downpipe, homemade $50 intake) if my car was AWD or could hook I'd give it a try.

Late to the party here but thought i would give my input (though it may not be wanted).

17 year old kids racing at 130 mph on local roads, through an intersection even. Real smart.

Agreed... going triple digits on streets that have intersections (regardless of time of day) is dangerous for other drivers

Ugh, you ruin the car scene for the rest of us. #thanksmillenials

As a 32 year old millenial (was told i made the cut since my bday is '84) I resemble that remark...

The reason was speed. Don't be naive. Just like Paul Walker died because of speed. Tires were a factor in that incidence, but the reason for the crash was because of speed and poor judgement. Yes people can die at legal speed limits, but your chances of a fatal accident increase exponentially as speed increases. TAKE IT TO THE TRACK. NOBODY IS IMPRESSED BY YOUR VIDEOS OF DOING PULLS ON THE STREET!

Not that I think youre wrong I think youre over-emphasizing one variable in that crash while downplaying others. Properly sized and quality tires with a better contact patch and he would probably still be alive; might even have posted in this forum where we would be telling him not to do it on public roads with intersections...

How many scene points were awarded for this race? I've been looking to get my cred up.

Peace,

Not trying to blow smoke but this is the best response ive seen in this thread.

People speed... people who tune cars speed often. You can talk tough to young kids all you want it wont change anything. The best thing to do is stress "Time and Place." Show how to manage speed and as said above minimize risk to other drivers.

Also just how to be a responsible driver... Im more worried about people passing on the right or splitting lanes in LA than I am about people doing over 100mph

because these cars were never designed for trap speeds in a 1/4 mile...

real test of these cars is an actual road track
