no its a convertible golf. They had the cabriolet back with the MK3's and if this is like it was back then it will share the majority of its parts and chasity with the golf.
i agree stock i dont like this, just like the MK3's but there's tons of potential to make a real beauty out of this! :thumbsup:

Unfortunately it seems as though there will be an mk7 sooner rather than later but it'll only be released in europe in 2012...then a year later in NA.
