Headlight Washers

Quick question here.

So it looks like something may be quite wrong with my headlight washers, the fuse is blown and blows every time i put a new one in and run the wipers.

The question then, does anyone know how to get to the device that sends the motors the signal/or to the motors themselves, has anyone replaced them; any information on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

Wipers work fine and everything else seems okay.

Thank you.

Why not just turn them off using VAGCOM? I'm sure there are guys in Den area that have it, if you don't.

Your other option is, of course, to tear into the bumper and disconnect the washers. If you can get to it from underneath, more power to you. That would also give you the opportunity to examine the wiring harness, to see if it is shorting somewhere...which it sounds like it is

Thanks Bozz. I think I'll do that once the weather gets warmer. Might install a train horn while I'm in there. sounds like a fun side project.

figured it out

had a bit of a fender bender, which gave me an excuse to get to the various bits beyond the bumper.

turns out i had a fried motor for the headlight washers.
