I kept getting a check engine, so I pulled out my trust code reader and got a code 08213-160 or -214. So I finally found the time to drop the car at the dealer for servicing. I just a call from them and they had to replace the entire intake manifold due to the throttle position sensor that is integral to it went bad. I can't wait to see what they are going charge VWoA for this repair. I find issues like this a bit nonsensical because it is stupid to integrate common failure items into a big-ticket item such a intake manifold. The last time anything like happened to me was in 1988 when the throttle position sensor on my '88 Civic failed and that silly sensor was also integrated in the manifold. All subsequent Honda products I owned after that time did not have such stupid designs. I wish the Germans could learn a lesson from this. Superior German engineering indeed.
