It was actually very easy. I already had coding done for when I had my Ed headlights, so all I had to do is install the headlights and add one wire for the kufatec adapters and I was done!

First day of talladegas, you have no idea how excited I was to see these on instead of steelies.


Anthracite plasti dip, didn't look too bad. Along with Ed replica headlights

Yellow brake calipers

Euro cup holder

Converted GTI steering wheel to R-Line wheel

Put Amber LEDs in my headlights. Also ordered a set of white LEDs, so I can switch if I'd like, but I kinda like the amber color for a change.

Do you have a step by step how you did it? Did you have to remove the headlight assembly? One of mine blew and I'd like to replace it..amber's not a bad idea.

Great work on the build btw

All you do is:
1. Twist off the headlight cap
2. Pull out the thing in the picture
3. Replace bulb
4. Put everything back together

ive been thinking about getting Eds LED projectors... seeing as how youve had them and OEM what made you switch? was it worth it? did you have problems with Eds?

Damn! That picture makes me miss my silver talladegas! If you go with Eds headlights get the non LED version because Eds LEDs aren't nearly as bright as OEM. The problems I encountered with his headlights were the condensation and peeling, but if you can find a decently priced set of OEM xenons, they're not a bad alternative. When I hit bumps in the road the lights would kinda flicker and that bothered me, but it could have been caused by a cheap HID kit. The OEM cutoff is crazy good and they almost never flicker unless you hit a really hard bump. I just like having the quality of the OEM, it's like a one and done purchase.

Quick dirty ass shot lol, can't wash the car all that much in this California drought. Finally got my GTI exhaust valance on though.
