TSI Intake Manifold Removal DIY + Valve Cleaning

Imo if you plan on removing the intake manifold you might as well look at pulling the whole head to get cleaned. I spent 517 to have my entire head and valves redone on my mk6. Got to love the notorious timing jump. But over all the engine is fun to work on.. Definitely get some bags a sharpie and some beer. If you want a decent service manual check out alldatadiy.com its like $25 for the year subscription. Great for specs, pictures, tsb reports, parts/tools needed, and average repair time. Most shops use it but definitely made my rebuild a lot smoother.

I just picked this up. Watched a CRC vid on it with the TSI. The straw is inserted through the MAF past the sensor. Then following directions, I saw a guy use a makeshift curtain rod to press on the gas pedal, then used the seat back to depress it more till it stayed at 2500 rpm. Then sprayed the can. This is just a recollection on my part, jellybeans consumed may have varying results.
