Recent Preventative Maintenance & Services:
- Oil Changes every 5-7k miles
- DSG Fluid Service every 40k miles
- Timing Chain Tensioner Update @ 95k miles - This is a well known issue with early year Mk6 GTI's; if the timing chain tensioner fails, it grenades the entire engine, making it a VERY expensive fix. This car has the new updated part which removes the defect. This is a very important preventative service for these cars, especially once they get into higher mileage. I would not buy a used early year Mk6 GTI without making sure this service was performed.
- Walnut-Blast Valve Carbon Cleaning @ 95k miles
- Cam Cover Reseal @ 95k miles
- Suspension Hardware Refresh @ 90k miles
- New Brake Rotors and Pads on all four corners @ 100k miles
- New OEM PCV Valve @ 100k miles
- New Intake Manifold - This failed around 75K miles but was covered for free under warranty (warranty lasts for this part until 125K miles)

This particular car was featured on The Smoking Tire with well-known car guy Matt Farah. Although some of the aftermarket parts in the video (exhaust & springs) are no longer on the car, it still has the APR tune and drives just as well as it did then. See what he thought here:

Sad to see you go, but GLWS.

What car you moving on to?

Thanks! I work in the city now so I take public transit to work and so I never get the chance to drive the car anymore. It just sits there on the street so I'd rather someone else buy it and enjoy it.

Tune and all the maintenance make this a very nice buy. I lowkey wish I didn't buy mine new and waited for something like this to show up.

Keep it, you gotta go somewhere and drive something on the weekends.

Especially if it is paid for.
