DSG loose

I noticed the shifter knob on my DSG is loose. Is there a way to tighten it? I assume there is but not sure how to do it. Any help? Cheers!

I'm guessing there is an allan screw under the shiny metal neck clasp but not sure how to take it off without breaking it.

I never noticed on my other car but it has a lot of play when shifting and I would hate to have to take it to the dealer for this fix but may have no choice.

Just had mine fixed! They replaced the whole shifter, New knob boot and surround all on warranty and its tight again

omg, seriously?? it's a warranty issue? said but I guess it's reality...

is there a known issue with loose knobs?

hmm mines kinda loose too. might have to look into this.

Mine is loose too. Can you post a pic of what yours looks like?

Reason I ask is because i think there might be a redesign with this involved. I have seen on another thread that they may be using a different shifter knob style. Just want to confirm
