Does the APR mobile app work without the dongle?

Is there a cable you can get to use or do you need the $200 one-car wireless dongle?

I'm in the SF bay area, bought my '10 GTI with a stage 2 tune with the APR high flow downpipe also installed. The tune disables 2 of the o2 sensors and is not CA smog legal (downpipe has a highflow cat, or at least something that resembles a highflow cat. Not CARB compliant). Don't ask me how the PO got the car smogged, but they did for the sale.

My shop will install the stock CAT downpipe I was able to track down but won't mess with ECU tunes. I'd like to reflash to the CAT & California smog happy 91oct stage 1.

Did you have multiple tunes loaded to your ECU?

You can only change the tune if it's loaded. The ECU does not flash new tunes.
