Wanted: VW OEM Thunder II wheels

Ready to race!
like post states, i'm after a set of Thunder II wheels; they have to be in really good condition (no scratches, curb rash or bends) with prefferably good tires also

or if someone wants to trade for some MINT serrons with almost new Dunlop sp sport 2050 rubber, i can also do so

here's what the wheels i'm looking for look like:

Had these....Sold these.

Waaaaay too heavy for my car with the extra unsprung weight. They greatly accelerated the demise of my pads and rotors and really made the front end sluggish. My 2 cents of course and just a 2.5 Golf. They look wicked though...and have that rare factor.

Got them from Union Rim http://www.unionrim.com/ in Toronto.

Most of his stuff is take-offs for VAG cars...or at least used to be. Looks like he has a bunch of reps now as well. Shoot him a message...maybe he can source a set for you¯\_(ツ)_/¯

WAY too heavy??? they can't be any heavier then the stock Detroits....i just like the way they look

i'll shoot those guys an email and see if they can get a set of those for a reasonable price since i can't seem to be finding GOOD USED ones....lol

Again....my car is a 2.5 golf, so your power bump would create a different dynamic. A rim that weighs in at 30lbs took away from the overall driving experience for me. Lesson learned. Weight is where it's at. Going to a 22lb OEM Goal after the Thunder transformed my drive.

i contacted the guys htere and he said they used to sell 'em like 4 years ago and that he has no more....bummer...oh, well i'll keep trying on these forums

Too bad!

Try the "CC" section in Vortex....they were OE for the CC R-Line...maybe a set kickin' round!
