Very true. I've had members get approved right away because of their income! The loan didn't even have to go through the loan officer!!

Personally, I've never needed a cosigner and I've financed 7 cars in the past 6 years. I've never put anything down on a car, but i do here that can help secure financing if the bank think you're a risk for some reason.

Putting money down helps you get approved because that means you will have equity on the car. Then if the car gets repo'ed, the bank will still make money off it.
