Recently went to my dealer to get parts for my other VW's and saw a Blue "R" on the floor. They had a black one on the lot to test drive... so I did.

I'm a DSG guy and loved the smoothness of this manual and its clutch. They made me a deal and then later my sales guy called and said another salesman forgot to inform his team it was sold. So they got another and it's on its way this weekend.

Hope the wife likes it!!!

I will miss my '07 modded Votex CW DSG GTI that was fully loaded. Had the best of everything except... being Blue and AWD.

Was a great car for awhile!

Wanted the "R" to come in DSG since they announced them coming the states.
Heard the manual was sweet. Didn't know till the test drive. Before my Golf MKV DSG I had a '98.5 Audi Sport A4 1.8t 5-speed Quattro which I loved and was getting old (9.5 yrs). Still ran great and needed a new home.

Just wanted another AWD and none of the current Audi's appeal to me.
Love the 5-cylinder turbo but the TTRS is not my cup of tea. If the S3 came here I'd buy it in a heart beat. So I'll settle for it's cousin the Golf "R".
