CAR MAKES SCREECHING SOUND FROM ENGINE

I was driving my car pretty quick, and i red-lined 1st gear before I switched to 2nd gear. All of a sudden, the car started making a loud screeching sound from the engine, and it doesn't go away. Also if im stopped at a red light, the RPM's rev up lightly on their own without me stepping on the throttle. Someone I know told me it could be the turbo, or the tension pulley. Can anyone offer me anymore info on what the problem could be?

high pitched noises are usually the rubber belts. spray some soapy water on the belts with the engine running and see if the sound goes away. if it does then check the tension of the alternator belt.

does it sound like a wet/bad alternator belt screech?

spun out a bearing?
