Did the pulley and a front mount at the same time, can't be positive but I think I can seperate the two. The new pulley ends up sending about 10% of the power your stock pulley does to your components. It's feather light, and has a smaller diameter. The result, your engine will feel noticeably lighter, spool faster, and give you a small power boost( which I can't confirm) it it a "gimmick" mod? no

I think the EuroCode pulley is the better option

I have it on my R, car feels "lighter" in the sense, it revs quicker and helps with turbo spool.

I have this on my GTI works great.
