VW chrome tips.

Hi everyone. I called the other day to get a price on a set of VW chrome exhaust tips for my 2012 Golf. I got a price from two different dealerships here in DFW. Boardwalk VW in Richardson and Rusty Wallis in Garland. They both quoted a price around $50.00 for a set.
Now, I've seen these priced in a VW catalog for about $225.00 so I was
pretty happy about only having to pay $50 bucks for a set. But, when I
got to Boardwalk today the counter guy quoted me $225. Needless to say
I told him never mind.
Anyone here bought a set and how mufch did you pay? Thanks.

I believe there are two different sets. One is stainless steel and costs around $225, the other is just polished and is about $90. You can get them off eBay for about $50.

They go for around $40-50 on eBay depending on offer from a seller, and how reputable the seller is.

eBay has a ton of them in your $50 range..
