Without looking at the numbers, I'd say it's a close race with the edge going to the GTI.

With Stage 1 tune, GTI should walk the mustang.

Considering its only got 4.6L 215bhp engine and that its a pretty damn old car, you should take him by a car if i were to bet

They still had the 5.0 until '96. My father had a '95 so... wiki is wrong. HP sounds about right.

if it's a 5.0L stang then maybe he'll beat you once you get in the higher speeds but if it's not a 5.0L and you have an ecu upgrade you should take him pretty easily.

yea when i was stage 1 i would spank my friends mustang all the time he had headers exhaust and intake but when i was stock it was a close race lol he might have won

it is a 5.0 and i have no ecu upgrade until summer! going stage 2

I raced the same model GT and I'm %100 stock he had an exhaust and I don't know what else. I won but not by a lot.

stock 94-95 5.0 GT's run 15.0-high 14's... shouldn't be a problem for a GTI.
