DeAutoKey question...footwell lights?

I can't seem to locate the footwell lights on my '11 golf... Do I not have them?

If u open the door the foot well lights usually go on. Atleast they do on my gti.

no. you do not have footwell lights.

is there a spot/connector for them in the 2.5?

No. You would have to custom wire them in and all that good stuff of you want foot wells.

There is a spot. It's the same place as a GTI. Just no housing or wiring done. I installed it, just a pita to make it clean.

No DIY, gotta be creative.

Can you give me an outline, possibly pictures, of how you got it done?

edit: DIY outline?? pretty please?!

i figured as much, is there a plug to wire the harness into though? the cecm i'm guessing. planning on buying the housings and leds at some point.

ive seen a DIY somewhere... but like vanceypants said.. it's mostly creativity on the wiring.

oh nice. I did this like 2 years ago so, no DIY for me. It was hell .
