17" BBS RC 17x7.5 Tires recommendation

I brought a set of BBS RC (A6 OEM stock rims) 17x7.5 ET 43 recently. I thinking to change the tires, but I need some recommendation.

I am thinking 215/45/17

or

225/45/17 (but will it rub my fender?)

or others?

Thanks

P.S. I am driving a 2.5L Golf with Driver Gear Spring + stock golf struct.

I had 225s on et 42 wheels and didn't rub, you'll be fine. Post some pics when you get em installed! I almost got those wheels at one time.

Regardless of rubbing, which tires is better for a 2.5L Golf

215 or 225?

I heard 225 can last longer, but I also heard 225 is too much for a 170hp car, 215 is more than enough. Is it true?

My Golf came stock with 225/45/17. The 225 is the width, horsepower has nothing to do with that. Get 225, you'll be fine.

What..? theres hardly a difference. You don't want to run a 215..
