Warranty extension for intake manifold & fuel injectors

Got a letter from VW about extension of warranty of above to 10yr/120k miles.

Exactly what symptoms occur when either goes bad, and how often do they occur? Letter mentions about MIL going off but didn't mention any specific codes.

My '11 has 55k miles.

The intake manifold on my car threw the P0205 code. When I was talking to the service writer at the dealership I took my car to, the intake manifold WILL break. You can still drive the car with the code on. Ironically, I had a false code for this on the way down to SoWo last year, and got the same code this year going to SoWo.

I received the notice for my intake manifold extended warranty in March and it crapped out yesterday. Good news is that dealer is replacing it right now. Life for this one was right at 35,000 miles.
