The oil pressure light appears on the dash board when:
1) oil temperature is too high
2) when decelerating from high speed (140 -> 40, 30) in a relatively short distance/time after driving for some 150-200 km. If I make small travels, it doesn't appear
I went to a mechanic and he put some kind of additive to thicken the oil ( the actual one is 10w-40 Castrol). He told me it is because of the low pressure when the oil heats up, but couldn't give me a proper reason what is causing it (like a leak of oil somewhere, a defect sensor, problems with the pomp or engine)
Did anybody have the same problem and can advise me on it?
I have a Golf VI 1.6 TDi 2010.
