I had stopped by an auto parts store on my way home just to get a quick scan on the new issue. Can any scanner scan the TCM?

Auto zone scanner only checks the engine control module
Ill see if I can take it to get fully diagnosed (ECM and TCM) in the next couple days.
Trying hard to not be regretting my purchase, Lol.

So as far as the TCM, I won't really have a way to have it scanned till Wednesday. Work schedule is wrapped around dealership hours and Wednesday is my next day off.
However something strange has come about, in addition to the P2188 code, im now getting p0106. I just had the 0106 code and replaced the MAP sensor... the good news is the gear l indicator hasn't disappeared on me again...
Is anyone aware of any ECU updates that may have come about for the 2010 2.5L Golf? Just curious. As I was not the first owner and have no way of knowing if any were done.
