Wiper motor issue?

So all of a sudden, my windshield wipers have started making a clicking/popping noise when the wipers get to the up position. So it just clicks once for every cycle. It almost sounds like the wipers are contacting the edge of the hood but I checked and thats not the case. They still work fine but its just really bugging me. Would this be a problem with the wiper motor or something else? Also is it worth trying to fix it?
