How long have you had your K04 ? Issues ?Solutions?

The k04 is a workhorse....its been in many, many cars and the failure rate imo is not a high one. It's a Borg Warner turbo who's one of the best manufacturers out there.
You're much more likely to experience other car issues from the added power...motor mounts should be upgraded, ic will be beyond stock capacity, pcv might blow if you don't have the newest revision or a CC.
The turbo itself is rock solid keep your oil fresh and imo use rotella t6, if not, keep it changed every 3k with other oils.

Well considering my K03 went at 37k miles, I can't imagine the K04 any worse, lol.
Is the k03 even a BW turbo?

I believe the KO3 is an IHI turbo. Mine has been going strong for 173k miles, no failures :thumbsup:
Yes, that's true....everyone just tends to call them k03, but yes... ihi

It depends, mine is still fine. Got it installed around 70K miles (APR kit), car has 145K miles & no issues, mostly highway driving (daily), plus long road trips.
