how do I know if my car's a CBFA or CCTA? its a '10 MK6 GTI..

There is a sticker on the engine, passenger side, upper, right below the plastic engine cover. It's a white label that has the engine code on it: CCTA or CBFA.

Another way to tell is if you have a small hose connecting to the forward (front) side of your air cleaner housing, in the middle. This is a breather hose that only CBFA motors have:

If your car is from Brunei it is probably a CCTA (no breather).

FinalOne,

You have a CCTA (no air pump) which makes sense since you don't have 'California Emissions' requirements in Cyprus.

Anyone know what that hose into the airbox is connected to? 2nd can we plug it or divert it with no check engine light?
