Mk5 seats airbag light fix

Does anyone have any exsperince swapping mk5 seats into their mk6? Cant seem to find a way to fix the airbag light, and it has been driving me insane

Did you swap or vag com the control module under the front passenger seat?

i have no idea, the swap was done before i bought the car, is there anyway for me to check and see which was done??

I have to assume that neither was done, do you know the vagcom process for reprogramming the seats for the MK6??

As I recall, if you swap seats without pulling the battery first, you're going to get an airbag light. You need to get vagcom to reset the ready check.

Yeah I have the module it's black, but looks the same, do either of you guys know the process for resetting the ready check?

I hadn't seen it till just now. Seems like I'm out of luck without a module to switch out. Damn, guess my search for MK6 Front seats continues

You can re-code the module to work with your car. Do you have vag com? We need to know what fault code is causing the air bag light.
