Golf VI - still has 5 star Euro NCAP rating

When the Golf VI was first released it was awarded a 5 star crash rating from Euro NCAP.

However, in February this year Euro NCAP moved the goal posts and added a few new tests which not only made the previous tests redundant, but also made it harder to achieve a 5 star rating.

The good news is twofold, not only did the Golf VI maintain its 5 star rating, it is now the safest car tested to date under the new testing regime.

I bet the crash test dummy has a headache at the end of every day!

Aren't airbags amazing? Watching the side impact pole test and the airbag deployment is very sobering.
