Touching up curb rash on Detroit wheels?...

Have bumped the Detroit wheels on my 2011 GTI enough to warrant the time and supplies to touch them up. Any good internet resources on technique and supplies needed?

To do it properly, the whole face of the wheel needs to be machined/diamond cut again.

The cheater method might be sanding it down smooth & clearing over the small area, but it won't match the rest of the wheel anymore (will stand out)

If you want to do something different, strip the clear & polish the whole face of the wheel.

Or paint/powdercoat the whole wheel a different color

the damage is on the edge of the rim near the tire - was hoping I could smooth and polish with dremel and then paint with something close the original color.

Is there color code for the silver on the Detroit wheels?

there is no painted silver on detroits. It's machined with clear over.
