Anybody use these and if so what do they do that you like? What do you think of their appearance?

in all honesty, I think they ruin the lines of the car. I had them on my Mrk IV and didn't like them.

Were they of practical use? I assume one can have the window partially open and not be buffeted by wind and rain. Or is there some other function I'm unaware of?

Unlikely I would, LOL, unless there is some wonderfully functional reason for their use. The WeatherTech site sells them, so it got me wondering.

I have the Weather Techs on my Touareg and they look great.... but I just don't see it looking all that great on the G.

i ordered the weathertechs and got the fronts delivered yesterday (backs are on b/o) because they do provide functionality - they help reduce that booming effect from airflow and allow the windows to be open a bit w/o letting rain in; the weather tech are not stick-on but go in the window channel so they're a much nicer look.

haven't installed 'em yet, if i hate how they look i'll take 'em off; liked 'em on my last 2 cars...
